Dr. Chongwei Xiao is a Research Scientist at the Petroleum Recovery Research Center, New Mexico Tech.  Her research focuses on CO₂ geological sequestration coupling enhance oil recovery through reservoir simulation and laboratory experiments: modeling formation petrology and reservoir & fluid condition, simulating oil & gas yield with CO₂ injection, identifying sequestration mechanisms, and developing field monitoring and verification techniques for CO₂ sequestration. Previously, Dr. Xiao also worked on petrochemical R&D and hydrate inhibition for flow assurance.
