Zeno George Philip is the Pinnacle engineer involved in the deformation monitoring of the CO2 sequestration project at San Juan. Tiltmeter stations and a differential GPS system were installed at the San Juan site to monitor surface deformation related to the injection/production of CO2/hydrocarbons. Tiltmeter measurements at select points on the surface were integrated to obtain images of surface deformation over a larger area including the region of the injection and production wells. Deformation over select periods of interest was summed up to obtain cumulative deformation. An independent verification of the displacement at one location (the GPS remote station) was obtained by the differential GPS system.
